Equipment

  • 1 Air fryer
  • 1 medium mixing bowl
  • 1 peeler
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Baking dish

Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  • Add the melted butter to the dry mixture and mix until crumbly.
  • Toss the sliced apples with lemon juice and layer them in the baking dish.
  • Evenly distribute the crumble mixture over the apples.
  • Place the baking dish in the air fryer basket and cook for 25 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  • Let the apple crisp rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, choose a mix of tart and sweet apples, like Granny Smith and Honeycrisp, to balance the flavors. Be sure to check the crisp halfway through the cook time to ensure even browning, and adjust the air fryer temperature if needed. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra indulgent treat.
