Ingredients
  

  • 6 cups sliced apples
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon.
  • Spread the apple mixture evenly in the 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the flour mixture and mix until smooth.
  • Pour the batter evenly over the apple mixture in the baking dish.
  • Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 40 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  • Remove the cobbler from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider using a mix of apple varieties like Granny Smith and Honeycrisp. Ensure the apples are sliced evenly for consistent cooking.
