Ingredients
  

  • 2 units cucumbers thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup red onion thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill chopped
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Slice the cucumbers and red onion thinly using a knife and cutting board.
  • Place the sliced cucumbers and red onion into a mixing bowl.
  • Add chopped fresh dill to the cucumber and onion mixture.
  • In a measuring cup, combine white vinegar, olive oil, sugar, salt, and black pepper.
  • Pour the dressing over the cucumber mixture in the mixing bowl.
  • Toss the salad gently with a spoon to ensure the dressing coats all ingredients evenly.
  • Allow the salad to rest for 10 minutes to let the flavors meld before serving.

Notes

For a more flavorful salad, prepare the cucumber salad a few hours in advance and let it marinate in the refrigerator. This will enhance the flavors and make the salad even more refreshing. If you prefer a less tangy version, adjust the amount of vinegar to taste. You can also add a touch of lemon juice for an extra burst of citrus flavor.
