Equipment

  • 1 Grill or Grill Pan
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Basting brush
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting board

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons jerk seasoning
  • 4 sandwich buns
  • 1 cup lettuce shredded
  • 1 tomato sliced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, coat the chicken breasts with olive oil and jerk seasoning.
  • Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  • Grill the chicken breasts for 6-8 minutes on each side until fully cooked.
  • Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  • Mix mayonnaise and lime juice in a small bowl to make a sauce.
  • Slice the sandwich buns and toast them lightly on the grill.
  • Spread the lime mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun.
  • Place a piece of grilled chicken on each bun.
  • Top the chicken with lettuce and tomato slices.
  • Add the top bun and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the jerk seasoning and olive oil mixture for a few hours or overnight before grilling. This will allow the spices to penetrate the meat, creating a richer taste. Additionally, ensure that the grill is adequately preheated to achieve those perfect grill marks and a nice char on the chicken.
