Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Baking sheet
  • 1 Oven
  • 1 Spoon

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups Bisquick mix
  • 1 can Rotel tomatoes drained

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground sausage, shredded cheddar cheese, Bisquick mix, and drained Rotel tomatoes.
  • Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls.
  • Place the balls on a baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let the sausage balls rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For an extra kick, consider using spicy sausage or adding a dash of cayenne pepper to the mixture. Make sure the Rotel tomatoes are well-drained to prevent the mixture from becoming too wet. These sausage balls can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator; simply reheat them before serving.
