  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 Baking sheet
  • 1 sheet Parchment paper
  • 1 set Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup amaretto liqueur
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup crushed almonds

Instructions

  • Heat the heavy cream in a medium saucepan over medium heat until it begins to simmer.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and add the chocolate chips, stirring until completely melted.
  • Stir in the amaretto liqueur until fully incorporated.
  • Pour the mixture into a mixing bowl and refrigerate for 1 hour until firm.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Using a tablespoon, scoop the chilled mixture and roll into balls.
  • Roll each truffle in cocoa powder or crushed almonds as desired.
  • Place the truffles on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Refrigerate for an additional 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure the chocolate and cream mixture is fully combined and smooth before adding the amaretto. When rolling the truffles, keep your hands cool to prevent the chocolate from melting. You can also experiment with different coatings like powdered sugar or shredded coconut for added variety.
