Ingredients
  

  • 6 cups Apples peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 cup Cranberries fresh or frozen
  • 3/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup Rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar packed
  • 1/3 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup Butter unsalted, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine apples, cranberries, granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon of flour, and ground cinnamon.
  • Toss the fruit mixture until the apples and cranberries are well coated.
  • Transfer the fruit mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, mix rolled oats, brown sugar, 1/3 cup of flour, melted butter, and salt.
  • Stir the topping mixture until crumbly.
  • Sprinkle the topping evenly over the fruit mixture in the baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
  • Allow the crisp to rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, choose a mix of tart and sweet apple varieties to balance the flavors with the cranberries. You can also adjust the sugar to taste, depending on the sweetness of the apples. For a crunchier topping, consider adding chopped nuts such as pecans or walnuts. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra indulgent treat.
