Equipment

  • 1 Saucepan
  • 1 Wooden spoon
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Whisk
  • 4 parfait glass
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 peeler

Ingredients

  • 2 cup apple peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup granola
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate shaved

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, combine diced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  • Cook over medium heat for 10-15 minutes until apples are soft.
  • Remove from heat and let cool for 30 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  • Spoon a layer of cooked apples into the bottom of each parfait glass.
  • Add a layer of granola on top of the apples.
  • Add a layer of whipped cream over the granola.
  • Repeat the layers until the glasses are full.
  • Top each parfait with white chocolate shavings.

Notes

For a more intense flavor, consider adding a pinch of nutmeg or allspice to the apple mixture. Letting the apple mixture cool completely before assembling the parfaits will help maintain the layers and prevent the whipped cream from melting. If you don't have white chocolate, you can substitute with milk or dark chocolate shavings for a different flavor profile.
