Ingredients
  

  • 4 large apples peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a baking dish with butter.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and add milk, vanilla extract, and lemon juice.
  • Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, mixing until smooth.
  • Arrange the sliced apples in the greased baking dish.
  • Pour the batter evenly over the apples.
  • Dot the top with small pieces of butter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the top is golden and set.
  • Let the pudding rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider using a mix of apple varieties like Granny Smith and Honeycrisp. You can also add a handful of raisins or chopped nuts for added texture. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for a delightful treat.
