  • 60 gram grated Parmesan cheese
  • 120 gram shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 30 gram finely chopped green onion
  • 15 gram finely chopped fresh chives
  • 10 gram finely chopped fresh dill
  • 5 gram garlic powder
  • 3 gram onion powder
  • 3 gram kosher salt
  • 2 gram ground black pepper
  • 2 gram smoked paprika optional

  • 1 gram red pepper flakes optional
  • 15 milliliter olive oil optional drizzle on top

Instructions

  • Add softened cream cheese to the medium mixing bowl.
  • Whisk sour cream and mayonnaise together in the small mixing bowl until smooth, then add to the cream cheese.
  • Beat or whisk the cream cheese mixture until completely smooth and well combined.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese and shredded mozzarella with the rubber spatula.

  • Sprinkle in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes if using.
  • Add lemon juice to the dip and stir until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt, pepper, or lemon juice as desired.
  • Transfer the dip to a clean serving bowl and smooth the top with the spatula.
  • Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to chill and set.
  • Just before serving, drizzle a little olive oil on top and garnish with extra chopped chives or dill if desired.
  • Serve chilled with bagel chips arranged around the bowl.

Notes

For best flavor, let the dip rest even longer than 30 minutes if you have time, as the herbs and seasonings intensify as they sit; ensure the cream cheese is fully softened before mixing to avoid lumps, and if the dip is too thick for your liking, whisk in a tablespoon of milk or sour cream at a time until it reaches your preferred consistency. You can easily customize the flavor by adding finely chopped smoked salmon, crumbled bacon, or minced pickled jalapeños, but add these after the base is seasoned so you can fine-tune the salt level. Store leftovers tightly covered in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days and stir well before serving again since some separation may occur.
