Equipment

  • 1 large mixing bowl
  • 1 Small bowl
  • 1 Frying pan
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 Plate lined with paper towels

Ingredients

  • 500 grams Salmon fillet cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 Eggs beaten
  • 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon Green onion chopped

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha to make the bang bang sauce.
  • Dip salmon pieces into the beaten eggs, then coat them with the flour mixture.
  • Roll the coated salmon pieces in panko breadcrumbs to coat evenly.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Fry the salmon bites in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Transfer the cooked salmon bites to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  • Let the salmon bites rest for 5 minutes.
  • Drizzle the bang bang sauce over the salmon bites.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure the oil is hot before adding the salmon to achieve a crispy texture. Adjust the heat if necessary to prevent burning. You can also use an air fryer as a healthier alternative to deep frying. Experiment with the sauce's spiciness by adjusting the amount of sriracha according to your taste preferences.
