Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup Bisquick mix
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 4 cup chicken broth or any preferred broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a simmer over medium heat.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick mix and milk until a soft dough forms.
  • Season the broth with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Using a spoon, drop spoonfuls of dough into the simmering broth.
  • Cover the pot and reduce the heat to low.
  • Cook the dumplings for 10 minutes without lifting the lid.
  • After 10 minutes, remove the lid and let the dumplings rest for 5 minutes.
  • Use a ladle to serve the dumplings with the broth.

Notes

For fluffier dumplings, make sure not to over-mix the dough. Keeping the lid on during cooking is crucial to ensure the dumplings cook evenly and are not too dense. If desired, you can add vegetables or shredded chicken to the broth for a more hearty dish.
