Ingredients
  

  • 6 cup brioche bread cubed
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup raisins optional
  • 2 tablespoon unsalted butter melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease the baking dish with melted butter.
  • Place the cubed brioche bread in the baking dish evenly.
  • In the large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the brioche cubes, ensuring all pieces are coated.
  • Gently press down the bread with a spatula to help absorb the liquid.
  • Sprinkle raisins over the top if using.
  • Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes to soak.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  • Allow the pudding to rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

To enhance the flavor, consider adding a splash of rum or bourbon to the custard mixture for a more adult version. You can also serve the bread pudding with a drizzle of caramel sauce or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for added indulgence. Adjust the sugar amount if your brioche is sweet to balance the flavors.
