  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Small mixing bowl
  • 1 Spoon
  • 1 Serving Plate

Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices Italian bread
  • 4 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese sliced
  • 2 medium tomatoes sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Slice the Italian bread into 4 even slices using a bread knife.
  • Layer the mozzarella cheese and tomato slices evenly on two of the bread slices.
  • Add fresh basil leaves on top of the tomatoes.
  • Drizzle balsamic glaze and olive oil over the basil and tomatoes.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Top with the remaining bread slices to form a sandwich.
  • Serve immediately on a serving plate.

Notes

For a more flavorful sandwich, you can lightly toast the bread slices before assembling. Opt for fresh, high-quality ingredients as they will enhance the taste of the sandwich. If you prefer a warm sandwich, you may grill it lightly on a pan for a few minutes on each side until the cheese just begins to melt.
