Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 24 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  • Remove from heat and stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until combined.
  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared springform pan and spread evenly.
  • In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, sour cream, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Pour the cream cheese mixture over the brownie batter in the pan.
  • Drizzle caramel sauce over the cream cheese layer and swirl with a spatula.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly on top.
  • Place the springform pan on a baking sheet and bake for 1 hour or until set.
  • Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack for 1 hour.
  • Refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.

For best results, ensure that all ingredients are at room temperature before starting, as this helps in achieving a smooth and evenly mixed batter. When swirling the caramel sauce, be gentle to maintain distinct layers between the brownie and cheesecake.
