Equipment

  • 1 Large pot
  • 1 large skillet
  • 1 colander
  • 1 Wooden spoon
  • 1 measuring cup set
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting board

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces penne pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound chicken breast cubed
  • 4 slices bacon chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Cook the penne pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and cook the cubed chicken until fully cooked, about 7-8 minutes.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside, then add chopped bacon to the same skillet and cook until crispy.
  • Drain excess fat from the skillet, keeping about 1 tablespoon in the pan.
  • Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet with the bacon.
  • Stir in heavy cream, ranch dressing, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, dried parsley, salt, and pepper.
  • Allow the mixture to come to a simmer over medium heat.
  • Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
  • Stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and well combined.
  • Let the pasta dish rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

When making Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta, ensure that the pasta is cooked to just the right texture, as overcooking can make it mushy once combined with the sauce. For a richer flavor, you can experiment with different types of cheese or add a hint of spice with red pepper flakes. Always taste the sauce before serving to adjust the seasoning as needed.
