Equipment

  • 1 9x9-inch baking dish
  • 1 medium mixing bowl
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Chef's knife
  • 1 measuring cup set
  • 1 measuring spoon set
  • 1 Oven

Ingredients

  • 2 cup cooked chicken breast shredded
  • 8 ounce cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 tablespoon hot sauce optional
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper ground
  • 2 tablespoon green onion sliced
  • 2 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Lightly grease the 9x9-inch baking dish with cooking spray or a thin layer of oil.
  • In the mixing bowl, add the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise.
  • Whisk the mixture until completely smooth and well combined.
  • Stir in the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and hot sauce if using.
  • Add the shredded chicken, 1 cup of cheddar, 1/2 cup of mozzarella, and the Parmesan cheese to the bowl.
  • Fold everything together with a spatula until the chicken and cheese are evenly distributed.
  • Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it into an even layer.
  • Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup cheddar and 1/2 cup mozzarella evenly over the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 18–20 minutes, or until hot and bubbly around the edges.
  • Turn the oven to broil for 2–3 minutes to brown the top lightly, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  • Remove the baking dish from the oven and let the dip rest for 5 minutes to thicken slightly.
  • Garnish the top with sliced green onions and chopped fresh parsley.
  • Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, sliced baguette, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

For best results, use well-seasoned cooked chicken such as rotisserie for extra flavor and shred it finely so it blends smoothly into the dip; make sure the cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps, and adjust the hot sauce, salt, and seasonings to taste before baking by sampling a small spoonful of the mixture. You can assemble the dip a day ahead, cover, and refrigerate, then add 5–10 extra minutes to the baking time when cooking from cold. If the dip gets too thick as it cools, stir in a tablespoon or two of warm milk or cream to loosen it, and keep it warm on a low setting in a slow cooker for parties.
