Chicken Pepper Soup

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kilogram chicken cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger grated
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper ground
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 medium carrots sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped

Instructions
 

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
  • Stir in the garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional 1 minute.
  • Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned on all sides.
  • Sprinkle in the black pepper, cayenne pepper, and paprika, stirring to coat the chicken.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and water, then bring to a boil.
  • Add the sliced carrots and chopped bell peppers to the pot.
  • Reduce the heat to low and let the soup simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Season the soup with salt to taste.
  • Stir in the fresh parsley and cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Remove the pot from heat and allow the soup to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh ingredients and adjust the level of pepper to suit your taste preference. You can also add more vegetables or herbs such as thyme or basil for additional flavors. Consider serving the soup with a side of crusty bread or rice for a more filling meal.
