Chili Cheese Dog Bake

Equipment

  • 1 Baking dish
  • 1 Medium saucepan
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 Oven mitt

Ingredients
  

  • 8 units hot dogs
  • 1 can chili with beans
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tube refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate into triangles.
  • Wrap each hot dog with a crescent roll triangle and place in the baking dish.
  • Pour the chili with beans evenly over the wrapped hot dogs in the baking dish.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the chili.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, mustard, and garlic powder.
  • Brush the butter mixture over the top of the crescent rolls.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a spicier version, consider adding chopped jalapeños on top of the chili before baking. Make sure to use a baking dish that is large enough to prevent overflow as the chili heats up. Adjust the cheese quantity as per personal preference and use different cheese blends for added flavor.
