Equipment

  • 1 Baking dish
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Spoon
  • 1 Oven

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 can (15 ounces) chili with beans
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/4 cup green onions sliced
  • 1/4 cup olives sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 bag tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Spread cream cheese evenly in the bottom of the baking dish.
  • Pour chili over the cream cheese and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the chili layer.
  • Top with sliced green onions and olives.
  • Sprinkle garlic powder and onion powder evenly over the top.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and melted.
  • Allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve warm with tortilla chips.

Notes

For the best results, ensure the cream cheese is fully softened to prevent it from clumping when spreading. Taste the chili before use to adjust seasoning as needed. Feel free to add jalapeños or hot sauce for extra heat. The dip can also be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated until ready to bake, just extend the baking time by a few minutes if it's chilled.
