  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 brush
  • 1 Spatula

Ingredients

  • 4 fillets salmon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 lime cut into wedges

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, lime zest, garlic, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Place the salmon fillets on the baking sheet.
  • Brush the salmon fillets generously with the chili lime mixture.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  • Remove from the oven and let the salmon rest for 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro and lime wedges before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure the salmon fillets are of equal thickness to promote even cooking. If available, use fresh lime juice for a more vibrant flavor. Adjust the amount of chili powder to your taste preference for more or less heat. Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
