Ingredients
  

  • 3 medium bananas ripe and mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with liners.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas with the melted butter.
  • Stir in the baking soda and salt.
  • Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  • Add the flour and stir until just incorporated.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips gently with a spatula.
  • Divide the batter evenly among the prepared muffin liners.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and let the muffins cool in the tin for 5 minutes.
  • Transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely before serving.

Notes

For best results, use very ripe bananas as they are sweeter and make the muffins more flavorful. If you prefer a chunkier texture, leave some banana pieces unmashed. Feel free to substitute regular chocolate chips with dark or milk chocolate chips according to your preference. Additionally, consider adding nuts such as walnuts or pecans for extra texture and flavor.
