Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease and flour a loaf pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • In a medium bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, water, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips gently with a spatula.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, ensure that all ingredients are at room temperature before beginning the recipe. You can add more chocolate chips if desired or substitute with nuts for varied texture. The bread can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or frozen for longer preservation.
