Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease the loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  • In the mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg.
  • In a separate bowl, combine eggnog, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the chopped pecans if using.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  • Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For the best flavor, ensure that the eggnog is at room temperature before mixing it with the other ingredients. Additionally, you can add a glaze made of powdered sugar and eggnog for extra sweetness and decoration. Remember not to overmix the batter to keep the bread light and fluffy.
