  • 1 cup milk

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan with butter.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together milk, vegetable oil, and eggs until well blended.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Remove from oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before serving.
