Ingredients
  

  • 3 pounds Turkey breast boneless
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Allspice berries
  • 4 cups Water
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 3 Garlic cloves minced
  • 4 Carrots peeled and sliced
  • 1 head Cabbage cut into wedges
  • 4 Potatoes peeled and quartered

Instructions
 

  • Rub the turkey breast with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  • Heat the large pot over medium heat and add the turkey breast.
  • Sear the turkey for 5 minutes on each side until browned.
  • Add mustard seeds, allspice berries, and water to the pot.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
  • Cover the pot and cook for 1 hour.
  • Add the onion, garlic, carrots, cabbage, and potatoes to the pot.
  • Continue cooking for an additional hour until vegetables are tender.
  • Remove the pot from heat and let the turkey rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
  • Slice the turkey and serve with the cooked vegetables.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a splash of apple cider vinegar to the pot when you add the vegetables to balance the richness of the turkey. Additionally, you can substitute or add other root vegetables like parsnips or turnips for variety.
