Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound fresh crab meat picked over for shells
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 4 sandwich buns toasted
  • 1 cup lettuce shredded
  • 1 tomato sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine crab meat, bread crumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, lemon juice, and the beaten egg until well mixed.
  • Shape the mixture into 4 equally sized patties.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Cook the crab cakes for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Allow the crab cakes to rest for 5 minutes after cooking.
  • Place a crab cake on each toasted bun.
  • Top each crab cake with shredded lettuce and a slice of tomato.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve immediately.
