Equipment

  • 1 Medium saucepan
  • 1 Wooden spoon
  • 1 8x8-inch baking pan
  • 1 sheet of parchment paper
  • 1 Mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup dried cherries
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  • Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk over medium heat.
  • Stir constantly until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the dried cranberries, dried cherries, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Let the fudge cool at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
  • Transfer the pan to the refrigerator and let it chill for at least 2 hours.
  • Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper and cut into 24 bite-sized pieces.

Notes

For best results, ensure that the chocolate and condensed milk mixture is smooth and well-combined before adding the dried fruits. This will help in achieving a uniform texture. If you prefer a more intense cherry flavor, you can substitute some of the cranberries for additional cherries. Store the fudge bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep them fresh for up to a week.
