Equipment

  • 1 9x13 inch baking pan
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 Rubber spatula
  • 1 microwave-safe bowl
  • 1 Knife

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, oats, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
  • Stir in dried cranberries and white chocolate chips with a rubber spatula.
  • Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Allow the bars to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For best results, ensure the butter is completely melted before mixing it with other ingredients to achieve a uniform texture in the bars. You can substitute the white chocolate chips with dark or milk chocolate chips if preferred, and you can add chopped nuts for additional crunch.
