Equipment

  • 1 Large pot
  • 1 Medium saucepan
  • 1 Wooden spoon
  • 1 Ladle
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting board

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 500 grams seafood mix cleaned and chopped
  • 2 cups fish stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup potatoes diced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill chopped

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  • Sauté the onion and garlic until the onion becomes translucent.
  • Add the seafood mix to the pot and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Pour in the fish stock and bring to a simmer.
  • Add the diced potatoes and cook until tender, about 15 minutes.
  • Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream.
  • Season the soup with salt and black pepper.
  • Simmer for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the fresh dill.
  • Let the soup rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For an enhanced flavor, consider adding a splash of white wine along with the fish stock. Additionally, if you prefer a thicker consistency, you can mash some of the cooked potatoes before adding the cream. For a touch of heat, a pinch of red pepper flakes can be included during the sautéing process.
