Ingredients
  

  • 5 Large croissants
  • 4 Large eggs
  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Raisins optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cut the croissants into 1-inch pieces.
  • Place the croissant pieces into the baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the croissant pieces in the baking dish.
  • Gently press down to ensure the croissants are soaked in the mixture.
  • Sprinkle raisins over the top if using.
  • Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes to absorb.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the custard is set.
  • Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, use day-old croissants as they absorb the custard mixture more effectively. You can customize this pudding with your choice of add-ins like chocolate chips or nuts. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce for a delightful dessert experience.
