Croissant Sandwich

Equipment

  • 1 Skillet
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting board

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Croissants
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices Ham
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 Tomato sliced
  • 4 leaves Lettuce
  • 1 tablespoon Mayonnaise

Instructions
 

  • Slice the croissants in half horizontally on the cutting board.
  • Spread mayonnaise evenly on the inside of each croissant half.
  • Layer 2 slices of cheese and 2 slices of ham on the bottom half of each croissant.
  • Add slices of tomato and lettuce leaves on top of the ham.
  • Place the top half of the croissant over the fillings.
  • Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Place the whole sandwich into the skillet and press lightly with the spatula.
  • Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until the croissant is golden and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove the sandwiches from the skillet and let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding Dijon mustard or a sprinkle of black pepper to the mayonnaise. You can also substitute or add other types of cheese and deli meats to suit your taste. If you prefer a crispier texture, bake the sandwiches in a preheated oven at 350°F for a few minutes instead of using a skillet.
