Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup ground pork
  • 1/2 cup cabbage finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup scallions finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger grated
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, cabbage, and scallions.
  • Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, salt, and black pepper to the bowl.
  • Mix all the ingredients thoroughly using a spoon until well combined.
  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  • After resting, use the filling to stuff dumpling wrappers.
  • Seal the edges of the dumplings by pinching them together.
  • Steam the dumplings in a steamer for about 10 minutes until they are cooked through.
  • Serve the dumplings hot with your choice of dipping sauce.

Notes

For the best flavor, ensure the cabbage is finely chopped to blend well with the meat. If you prefer a vegetarian version, you can substitute the ground pork with mushrooms or tofu. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences, and always taste the filling before using it to adjust any seasoning if necessary.
