Ingredients
  

  • 4 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup pepper jack cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon crumbled
  • 1/4 cup green onions sliced

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Place the chicken breasts in the skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes per side until fully cooked.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle shredded pepper jack cheese over the top of each chicken breast.
  • Top with crumbled bacon and sliced green onions.
  • Cover the skillet and allow the cheese to melt over low heat for about 3 minutes.
  • Serve the chicken warm, garnished with additional green onions if desired.

Notes

For best results, use fresh pepper jack cheese and shred it yourself to ensure it melts perfectly. Adjust the amount of bacon and green onions to suit your taste. If you prefer a less spicy dish, substitute half of the pepper jack cheese with mild cheddar. Enjoy this dish with a side salad or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
