Equipment

  • 1 Trifle bowl
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 large spoon

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pound cake, cubed
  • 1 cup fresh berries
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate shavings
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg grated

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together heavy cream, eggnog, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  • Arrange a layer of pound cake cubes at the bottom of the trifle bowl.
  • Spoon a layer of the eggnog cream mixture over the pound cake.
  • Add a layer of fresh berries on top of the cream.
  • Repeat the layers until all the ingredients are used, finishing with the eggnog cream on top.
  • Sprinkle white chocolate shavings and grated nutmeg over the final layer.
  • Cover the trifle bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For the best results, ensure the heavy cream is very cold before whipping to achieve maximum volume. You can customize the trifle with different fruits or cake types, such as using gingerbread or sponge cake for a unique flavor twist. If you prefer a non-alcoholic version, ensure the eggnog you use is alcohol-free.
