Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices bread
  • 100 grams feta cheese crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the toaster or oven to medium-high heat.
  • Toast the slices of bread until golden brown.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine crumbled feta, olive oil, honey, oregano, and black pepper.
  • Spread the feta mixture evenly over each slice of toasted bread using a butter knife.
  • Top each slice with halved cherry tomatoes.
  • Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
  • Serve immediately while the toast is warm.

Notes

For best results, use a quality feta cheese as it greatly enhances the flavor profile of the dish. If using an oven, a quick broil can add a nice crisp to the bread. Feel free to experiment with additional toppings such as olives or a sprinkle of chili flakes for a spicy kick.
