Equipment

  • 1 9x9-inch baking dish
  • 1 medium mixing bowl
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 whisk or fork
  • 1 measuring cup set
  • 1 Oven

Ingredients

  • 2 cup cooked chicken shredded
  • 8 ounce cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup Frank’s RedHot Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese dressing optional
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles optional
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter melted optional for richer flavor

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Add softened cream cheese to a medium mixing bowl and whisk or mash until smooth.
  • Stir in Frank’s RedHot sauce, ranch dressing, and blue cheese dressing (if using) until fully combined.
  • Fold in shredded chicken and melted butter (if using) until the chicken is evenly coated.
  • Mix in half of the shredded cheddar and half of the shredded mozzarella.
  • Transfer the mixture to the baking dish and spread it into an even layer with a spatula.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheddar, remaining mozzarella, and blue cheese crumbles (if using) evenly over the top.
  • Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until the dip is hot and the edges are bubbling.
  • Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve warm with tortilla chips, celery sticks, carrot sticks, or crusty bread.

Notes

To get the best flavor and texture, use freshly cooked or rotisserie chicken that’s well shredded so it mixes smoothly into the creamy base, and taste the mixture before baking to adjust the heat level by adding more or less Frank’s RedHot to your preference. Make sure the cream cheese is fully softened so it blends easily, and avoid overbaking, which can cause the oils to separate—pull it from the oven as soon as it’s bubbling. This dip can be assembled ahead, covered, and refrigerated for up to a day; just add a few extra minutes to the bake time if baking from cold. Leftovers reheat well in a small baking dish or microwave at low power, and you can customize the topping with extra cheese, green onions, or a drizzle of hot sauce just before serving.
