Equipment

  • 1 Baking dish 9x9 inches
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 measuring cup
  • 1 measuring spoon set

Ingredients

  • 4 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine blueberries and lemon juice, then pour into the baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until a smooth batter forms.
  • Pour the batter evenly over the blueberries in the baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and let the cobbler rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For the best results, use fresh, ripe blueberries as they provide the most flavor and natural sweetness. If you prefer a thicker filling, lightly mash some of the blueberries before adding them to the dish. Serving with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream can enhance the cobbler's flavor profile.
