Equipment

  • 1 Baking sheet
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl
  • 1 pastry brush or spoon
  • 1 sharp knife
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 measuring cup set
  • 1 measuring spoon set
  • 1 sheet of parchment paper (optional)

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated pizza dough 340 g
  • 60 gram unsalted butter melted
  • 3 clove garlic minced
  • 15 gram fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 30 gram grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 gram salt
  • 1 gram black pepper ground
  • 1 gram dried Italian seasoning optional
  • 120 milliliter marinara sauce warmed; for dipping

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper if using.
  • Open the pizza dough and unroll it onto a lightly floured cutting board.
  • Cut the dough into small bite-sized squares or rectangles about 2.5 cm each.
  • Arrange the dough pieces on the baking sheet, leaving a little space between each piece.
  • In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter until fully liquid.
  • Stir the minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning into the melted butter.
  • Brush or spoon the garlic butter mixture generously over the top and sides of each dough piece.
  • Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over all the coated dough pieces.
  • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12–15 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  • Remove the garlic bread bites from the oven and let them cool slightly on the tray for 3–5 minutes.
  • Transfer the bites to a serving plate and garnish with a little extra chopped parsley if desired.
  • Serve warm with a bowl of warmed marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

For best results, avoid overcrowding the pan so the bites bake up crisp rather than soggy, and keep an eye on them in the last few minutes as ovens vary and garlic can brown quickly. You can prep the garlic butter ahead of time and store it covered in the fridge, then gently rewarm to use. If you prefer softer bites, brush a little extra butter on right after baking, or for a crispier finish, bake on the lower oven rack. Feel free to customize by adding a bit of shredded mozzarella on top in the last few minutes of baking, or using flavored butters and herbs you enjoy.
