Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted butter Softened
  • 3 Cloves garlic Minced
  • 1 tbsp Fresh parsley Chopped
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Black pepper
  • ¼ cup Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Cut the French bread loaf in half lengthwise.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper.
  • Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread halves.
  • Optional: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top of the garlic butter.
  • Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, buttered side up.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let the bread rest for 5 minutes.
  • Slice the bread into pieces and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes for a bit of heat or a drizzle of olive oil before baking for additional richness. If using Parmesan, ensure it is freshly grated for the best taste. Be careful not to overbake the bread to maintain a soft interior with a crispy crust.
