Equipment

  • 1 Crockpot
  • 1 Skillet
  • 1 Chef's knife
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 measuring cup
  • 1 Wooden spoon

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sirloin steak cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter divided
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Season steak bites with salt and pepper.
  • Sear steak bites in the skillet for 2-3 minutes until browned on all sides.
  • Transfer seared steak bites to the crockpot.
  • In the same skillet, add remaining butter and garlic, cooking until fragrant.
  • Pour the garlic butter mixture over the steak bites in the crockpot.
  • Add crushed red pepper flakes to the crockpot and stir to combine.
  • Cover and cook in the crockpot on low for 3 hours.
  • Once cooked, allow the steak bites to rest for 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure the steak bites are evenly sized for uniform cooking. Adjust the amount of crushed red pepper flakes to suit your spice preference, and consider adding a splash of lemon juice for added brightness. Serve with crusty bread to soak up the flavorful garlic butter sauce.
