Equipment

  • 1 Medium Skillet
  • 1 colander
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Spatula
  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting board

Ingredients

  • 400 grams pasta such as penne or fusilli
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 400 grams salmon fillets skinless
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1/2 cup kalamata olives pitted and sliced
  • 1/4 cup red onion thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons capers drained
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions.
  • In a medium skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  • Season the salmon fillets with salt, pepper, and oregano.
  • Cook the salmon in the skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side until fully cooked.
  • Remove the salmon from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes, then flake it with a fork.
  • Drain the pasta using a colander and transfer it to a mixing bowl.
  • Add cherry tomatoes, olives, red onion, capers, and flaked salmon to the pasta.
  • Gently toss the ingredients to combine.
  • Sprinkle feta cheese and fresh dill over the pasta mixture.
  • Drizzle lemon juice over the top and give it a final gentle toss before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure the salmon is not overcooked to maintain its moisture and flavor. Feel free to adjust the amount of lemon juice and feta cheese to suit your taste preferences. Using fresh dill can enhance the dish's aroma and give it a more authentic Greek flavor. Serve the pasta warm and enjoy it with a side of crusty bread for a complete meal.
