Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 lemon cut into wedges for serving

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper.
  • Add shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the marinade.
  • Cover and refrigerate shrimp for 15 minutes to marinate.
  • Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  • Thread marinated shrimp onto skewers, leaving space between each shrimp.
  • Grill shrimp skewers for 3-4 minutes on each side until shrimp are opaque and cooked through.
  • Remove skewers from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes.
  • Garnish shrimp skewers with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

For perfectly grilled shrimp skewers, ensure the grill is fully preheated before adding the skewers to achieve a nice char and prevent sticking. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes prior to grilling to prevent them from burning. Adjust seasoning to taste, and consider adding a dash of your favorite hot sauce for extra heat.
