  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 measuring cup
  • 1 Measuring spoon

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 clove garlic minced
  • 8 ounce mushrooms sliced
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 ounce egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped

Instructions

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon.
  • Remove the beef and set aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.
  • Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  • Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are tender.
  • Sprinkle the flour over the mushroom mixture and stir until well combined.
  • Gradually add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
  • Return the cooked beef to the skillet and stir until well coated with the sauce.
  • Reduce the heat to low and stir in the sour cream, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions, then drain.
  • Serve the beef stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles and garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

To enhance the flavor, you can add a splash of white wine when cooking the mushrooms. If you prefer a creamier sauce, increase the amount of sour cream. Ensure to taste and adjust seasonings before serving for the best result. If the sauce becomes too thick, you can thin it with a little more beef broth.
