Equipment

  • 1 Large pot
  • 1 Blender or Food Processor
  • 1 Wooden spoon
  • 1 Ladle
  • 6 Glass jars with lids
  • 1 funnel
  • 1 canning rack or towel

Ingredients

  • 4 cup seedless grapes washed and stemmed
  • 3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon butter optional

Instructions

  • Place the grapes in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
  • Pour the grape puree into a large pot and add the sugar and lemon juice.
  • Stir the mixture over medium heat until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring continuously.
  • Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for 30-40 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  • Skim off any foam that forms on the surface using a spoon.
  • If using, add butter to reduce foaming.
  • Once thickened, remove the pot from heat and let it cool slightly.
  • Use a ladle and funnel to transfer the jam into sterilized jars.
  • Seal the jars with lids and let them rest at room temperature for about 12 hours.

Notes

For best results, ensure your jars are properly sterilized before filling to prevent spoilage. Adjust the sugar to taste if you prefer a sweeter or less sweet jam. Always use a heavy-bottomed pot to avoid burning the jam during cooking.
