Honey Cornbread Recipe with Jiffy Mix

  • 1 8-inch or 9-inch square baking pan
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 measuring cup
  • 1 Oven mitts
  • 1 Cooling rack

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Grease an 8-inch or 9-inch square baking pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix, milk, egg, honey, and melted butter.
  • Whisk the ingredients together until just combined and smooth.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and let it rest in the pan for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra moisture and a richer flavor, try adding an additional tablespoon of honey or a quarter cup of sour cream to the batter. You can also experiment with adding a few tablespoons of corn kernels or a pinch of cinnamon to give the cornbread a unique twist.
