Equipment

  • 1 Small mixing bowl
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 measuring spoon set
  • 1 liquid measuring cup
  • 1 Rubber spatula
  • 1 storage container with lid

Ingredients

  • 120 milliliter mayonnaise
  • 60 milliliter Dijon mustard
  • 60 milliliter yellow mustard
  • 60 milliliter honey
  • 15 milliliter apple cider vinegar
  • 2 gram garlic powder
  • 2 gram onion powder
  • 1 gram smoked paprika
  • 1 gram fine sea salt
  • 1 gram ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, yellow mustard, and honey to the small mixing bowl.
  • Whisk the mixture until completely smooth and fully combined.
  • Add apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to the bowl.
  • Whisk again until the sauce is smooth, uniform in color, and slightly thickened.
  • Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning with a pinch more salt, pepper, or honey if desired.
  • Use a rubber spatula to scrape the sauce into a storage container with a lid.
  • Cover and refrigerate the sauce for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Serve chilled or slightly cool alongside warm soft pretzels for dipping.

Notes

For best flavor, let the sauce rest longer—up to a few hours or overnight—in the refrigerator so the mustard and spices fully bloom, and stir before serving in case any separation occurs; you can thin the sauce with a teaspoon or two of water or milk if it becomes too thick, or make it spicier by adding a pinch of cayenne or extra Dijon, and it will keep well in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 5–7 days, making it easy to prepare ahead for parties, game days, or snacks.
