Equipment

  • 1 Large pot
  • 1 Wooden spoon
  • 1 measuring cup
  • 1 measuring spoon set

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

Instructions

  • Heat the pot over medium heat and add the ground beef.
  • Cook the beef until browned, using the spoon to break it into crumbles.
  • Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot and cook until the onion is translucent.
  • Stir in the tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
  • Add Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar to the mixture.
  • Reduce the heat to low and let the chili simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Stir occasionally to prevent sticking or burning.
  • Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

When making this hot dog chili, consider adjusting the seasoning to your taste preference by adding more chili powder for extra spice or a pinch of cayenne for a kick. Ensure you stir the chili occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the pot, and if you prefer a thicker consistency, let it simmer longer with the lid off.
