Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf Italian bread
  • 200 grams deli sliced salami
  • 200 grams deli sliced ham
  • 100 grams provolone cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato sliced
  • 1/4 cup red onion thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup pepperoncini sliced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice the Italian bread loaf in half lengthwise.
  • Arrange the salami, ham, and provolone cheese evenly on the bottom half of the bread.
  • Place the bread with toppings on a baking sheet.
  • Heat in the oven for about 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, olive oil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Spread the mayonnaise mixture evenly on the top half of the bread.
  • Once the bread with toppings is heated, remove from the oven and layer lettuce, tomato, red onion, and pepperoncini over the cheese.
  • Place the top half of the bread on the sandwich.
  • Let the sandwich rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

To ensure the best flavor, use fresh and high-quality deli meats and cheese. You can customize the sandwich by adding or substituting your favorite Italian cold cuts or cheeses. Additionally, you can toast the sandwich further if you prefer a crispier texture.
