  • 1 8x8 inch baking dish
  • 1 Oven mitt

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix, milk, and egg.
  • Whisk the ingredients together until just combined; do not overmix.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Remove the dish from the oven and place it on a cooling rack.
  • Allow the cornbread to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

For best results, make sure not to overmix the batter as this can lead to dense cornbread. It’s also important to preheat the oven for even cooking. If you prefer a sweeter cornbread, you can add a tablespoon of sugar or honey to the batter. Serve warm with butter or your favorite topping.
